Moon Over Joshua Tree
Various photos of the almost full moon over Joshua Tree National Park:

Mel got kind of tired posing for me around Joshua Trees and Yuccas. And then there were all the interesting rock formations, too... This is "Mel with yuccas in front of rock formation". :-) 
Cindie holding hands with a Joshua Tree (actually the tree has 'leaves' as sharp as needles - we were not holding hands! I was getting poked, but it didn't draw blood.)

Here is Mel standing beside what I think is called a Teddy Bear Cholla (choi-ya). I need to look that name back up. This photo is just to show the size of these puppies. Oh my! The trail went right around them, beside them, between them. A trip, or backing up with out looking, could be very painful. But I think they are quite pretty. When God created the world, He created such unusual beauty for us to enjoy!
