My Brother Wayne & His Fiddle

My brother, Wayne, came for Christmas. After everyone else had gone to bed, he played his fiddle for Mel and me. It was really nice listening to him - he played several Christmas songs and parts of others he knows. Here is a video of him playing a song he is in process of memorizing. I posted about him here last year. I told him I really wished Nadia, the eldest daughter of our team mates, could here him. She is taking violin lessons but I seriously doubt that she is learning any of this! :-) :-) :-)

Thunderstorm

Wow - that was quite a storm. Knocked our power out for over an hour. There was a loud thunderstorm earlier, and then nothing at all for about half an hour or 45 minutes. Then some more thunder in the distance - and then KABOOM! Power went off and it began to pour like crazy outside with more lightning and thunder. Typical thunderstorm.

I love 'em. heh heh

You can see in this video how dark it is in our flat when we have no lights on during the day, especially on a gray and rainy day. Also, at the end of the video you can hear birds chirping in the poplar tree directly in front of our balcony. Strange to hear them, what with the rain pouring down and the thunder rumbling. I wonder what they were chirping to each other...

Yuri and Sasha

Here we have a little video clip of Yuri dancing. The clip is not nearly as funny as it really was in person. I love this guy to pieces. He is a great husband for our "Ukrainian daughter", Ira. He obviously loves to dance!

There may be a better way to do this, but for now, I am experimenting! This is a video I took from our balcony last spring of a cat at the dumpster. Very exciting subject, I know... ha!
